シャカタク、結成45周年ベストAL発売決定

シャカタクが4月23日(水)に45周年記念ベスト・アルバムを発売する。

80年に英ロンドンで結成して以来、透明感あふれるクールでスタイリッシュなメロディーと、インテリジェンスに富んだ都会的なサウンドで、音楽シーンで成功を収め続けているシャカタク。

本作は中心メンバーのビル・シャープが曲目をセレクト、ナイス＆スムースに流れるような選曲で、シャカタクの高い音楽性を感じさせる魅力溢れる作品となっている。

リリース後の5月にはビルボードライブ大阪・東京・横浜にてライヴも決定している。

It’s hard to believe that this year is the 45th anniversary of Shakatak.
The time has gone so quickly and we’ve had an amazing journey.
It seems apt that this album will represent those years we have had together.
The songs that I’ve selected here are a mixture of old and new,familiar and not so well known.
I’ve attempted to pick some songs that are not usually on our compilation albums with a view to make it a little different.
Also featured are 2 brand new songs.One written by myself and Jill Saward and the other by George Anderson.
I hope you enjoy the new songs as well as the others from the last 45 years.

　今年でシャカタクが45周年を迎えるなんて信じ難い。本当にあっという間だったし、私たちの歩んできた道のりは素晴らしいものだった。この作品は、私たちがともに過ごしてきた歳月を振り返るのに相応しいアルバムになっていると思う。今回選んだ楽曲の中には古い楽曲もあれば新しい楽曲もある。また有名な楽曲もあればあまり知られていない楽曲もある。今回は、これまでのものとは少し違った内容にしたかったので、普段は私たちのコンピレーション・アルバムに入らないような楽曲も選んでみた。それに、このアルバムには2曲の新曲も収録されている。1曲は私とジル・セイワードの共作、もう1曲はジョージ・アンダーソンが書いた曲だ。これらの新曲も、過去45年のあいだに発表してきた楽曲と同じように楽しんでもらえたらとても嬉しい。ここまで私たちを支えてきてくれたすべての人に感謝したい。そして旅を続ける中で、またいつかどこかで会えるのを楽しみにしているよ。
