@macy.blackwell A Cozy 90’s Christmas! Welcome to our family room! A collection of sentimental decor and special finds that remind me of my childhood.♥️ Our “family tree” is inspired by the one I had growing up! It was a multicolor lights real tree (cut from behind my grandpa’s house on thanksgiving day) down in our split level half basement family room with a wood stove. Dad would build us a fire and we would congregate down there to get warm and toasty on December nights. Also the tree where our presents were under every year! I lived in the same house all my kid years 0-18, so it holds so many memories. Me and my sister helped mom decorate that tree with our fun and special ornaments, which our fingers were raw after from the pokey pine branches. We got a new ornament every year in our hallmark collection. Mine was Bible stories, and my sisters was Holiday Barbie. ( I was so envious of her ornaments, I bought Thea the whole collection from an eBay seller once I got some adult money ) Was it for her or really for me? Lol!!! I LOVE putting those on her tree every year and talking with her about how fabulous their dresses are. Anyways… We also collect our family vacation ornaments for this tree, and big life moments! It’s special to all decorate this tree together and talk with the kids about all the memories this tree holds. I wanted everything in this space to feel like the perfect setting for Santa to come down the chimney and deliver the gifts! Colorful, fun, and core-memory building for the kids!
